Since the opening of Hamono Sanshodo, the "Bonito Shaver" has been one of our flagship products, so popular that it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say so.

Many people started shaving bonito flakes after purchasing this. Using this shaver allows one to experience flavors that cannot be tasted with commercially available bonito flakes, to the extent that it makes rice so delicious one could eat several bowls. Unfortunately, it has been decided that this product will be discontinued. Sales will end as soon as our current stock runs out.

Now, for the happy news. As you might have guessed, we have received a replacement for the bonito flake shaver, which is:

This new arrival features a genuine wooden receiving tray, unlike the previous plastic ones that were easy to wash and maintain. The blade is also meticulously crafted, making it possible to produce finely shaved bonito flakes.
