This is Store Manager Hirose.

I've been neglecting to post for a while,
and it had been some time since my last update.
I didn't notice it, but it turns out
I've been mixing personal with professional posts too much,
so this time I'll properly do my job! Haha.

This time, I'm introducing knives made by the young master craftsman
'Katayama Uchihamono' in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture:

- Santoku Katayama-made, Damascus, rosewood handle, 170mm



- Wagyu knife Katayama-made, Damascus, rosewood handle, 210mm


- Wagyu knife Katayama-made, Damascus, rosewood handle, 240mm


I'll introduce these three types.
We used to have the 'Santoku & Wagyu knife 210mm' in stock.

Although they were out of stock for a while,
we have a few back in stock now,
and the new 'Wagyu knife 240mm' has arrived as a new face.


The blades are made of Damascus,
and not only are they beautiful to look at,
they use the high-spec stainless tool steel V10 for the core material,
pouring traditional Echizen cutlery techniques into their creation,
thus ensuring sharpness.
Being made of stainless steel,
they are also easy to maintain.


The handles are made of 'rosewood (Shitan)',
which is highly water-resistant,
ensuring durability for decades,
unless placed in a dishwasher or dryer.
